The Doskvol Times - a faction for Blades '68
One of my players, Dave, plays Smokestacks: a Hound who also works for a large paper. We named it The Doskvol Times last session, so I wrote it up as a faction so we could use it in the future. This faction is a deliberate counterpoint to the Inklane Tabloids, representing an establishment paper with all the attendant strengths and weaknesses. Any similarity to real newspapers is purely coincidental.

The paper of record for Doskvol, which wants to reveal the truth but believes that it must not rock the boat too much.

| Quirks | The Times feels that it needs to present "both sides" to every issue, regardless of what the issue is or which side is backed by truth or not. It uses this as cover to both report on hard-hitting issues of the day and satisfy government officials who might wish to shut them down. This affords them a measure of protection politically, through City Council, and practically, through contracts with the Bluecoats to protect their offices. |

They are collecting evidence and information about the conditions at the Clinic, but public opinion strongly favors the program so they face obstacles at every turn. |

Once per personal business, you may ask a specific question that could be answered by the Times's vast archives of interviews, government documents, and unpublished stories. It must be concrete and does not substitute for problem solving: "Are the Keel Twins taking money from the Ministry of Stability?" rather than "How do I take down the Keel Twins?" Make a fortune roll using the Tier of the Doskvol Times to see how detailed an answer you get. You may not ask the same question with this ability more than once.
