The Deep Apiarist, GLoGified

I've been taken with perusing random GLoG stuff, so without any prior experience, I am choosing to make a GLoG class inspired by the Deep Apiarist. I chose this class because I already spent some time with it creating the Magic of the Waxen supplement for His Majesty the Worm, but I may do some other HEART classes just for fun.

To recap...

Deep Apiarist – one of a small sect of occultists who use the power of the Hive to work magic that manipulates order and chaos. The sigil-covered bees crawling through their bodies can unleash deadly attacks on those who would stand in their way. - HEART; Rowan, Rook and Decard

It's a bee wizard! So, we shall be making a Wizard, using Skerple's guidelines. More or less. Is it balanced? Pssht, who cares.

The Deep Apiarist

Template Benefits
A Mind of Bees, Waxen Body. Roll 1d6 twice and get the listed spell.
B Roll 1d8 and get the listed spell.
C Roll 1d10 and get the listed spell.
D Choose up to 6 spells from the list.

Mind of Bees

Your body is full of bees. Your brain is not your own, but the bees keep order on your mind's behalf. You are completely immune to all supernatural mental effects.

Waxen Body

As recompense for their gifts, the bees have replaced your organs with waxen copies. They function as normal, but you receive -2 to Defense, regardless of armor worn.

Spells

When a spell says Range: Bees, this represents how far your bees can fly in one turn, as they are carrying out this magic on your behalf. This is equal to 15ft * [# of Deep Apiarist templates]. Bees are super fast but hard to direct!

1. Release the Swarm.

Range: Bees. Deal [highest die rolled] damage to [dice] targets.

2. Apisambulation.

Range: Self. The bees control your limbs for [sum] minutes, loosely directed by your intellect. You receive +[dice] to physical stats for the duration. It is obvious you're being controlled by bees.

3. Wings Like Glass

Range: Self. You can hover as crystalline wings sprout out of your shoulders. This spell lasts just long enough to fly you [sum] feet horizontally; you can't moving meaningfully upward.

4. Reverse Entropy

Range: Touch. Reverse the most recent entropic process that affected the touched inanimate object (burning, shattering, ripping, etc.)

5. Eyes of the Swarm.

Range: Special. You are blinded for [sum] minutes, but for the duration, your bees blanket the area around you within [Bees] feet. You can sense the area through your proprioception (sense of place and body) based on what they land on.

6. Catch More Flies

Range: Touch. You secrete a vial of intoxicating honey, summoning up to [dice] types of creatures you specify, named by species (i.e., dire wolves, giant bats, centipedes, dragons). All creatures within smelling distance with fewer than [sum] HP come to investigate, but they remain sentient and able to identify threats.

7. Wax Extrusion

Range: Self. You vomit up a small blob of wax that your bees then shape into a hand tool designed to accomplish a particular task, like unlocking a door or providing a missing mechanical component.

You must invest [dice] HP into this tool to cast the spell. The tool lasts for [sum] minutes until melting; the spell may be ended early by consuming the tool. When the spell ends, recover the invested HP.

8. Eyes Like Crystal

Range: Bees. [Dice] willing targets (including you) have their eyes transformed into glittering compound orbs. They can see through illusions for [sum] minutes.

9. Blood Honey

Range: Touch. The target recovers [sum] HP, but can only recover HP from this spell for [dice] days.

10. Command Construct.

Range: Bees. The target must be a construct. The caster controls the construct for [sum] minutes (the bees crawl in and around its mechanisms). However, the construct will not obey orders that break the following rules, in order of precedence:

  1. A construct may not harm its creator or, through inaction, allow its creator to come to harm.
  2. A construct must obey orders given to it by its creator.
  3. A construct must protect its own existence.

Ignore [dice] of these restrictions.

11. Hiveseal

Range: Bees. Encase a target in impenetrable Hive-crystal for [dice] hours. Target depends on the amount of dice spent:

  1. Human-sized, potency of an average adventurer.
  2. Ogre-sized, potency of a high-level adventurer.
  3. Giant-sized, potency of a legendary adventurer.

12. Dimensional Bastion

Range: Special. The current room (or space of radius [Bees] if outdoors) becomes a safe place for you and your allies. Bees crawl and create Hivecrystal, illuminating it with a soft glow. No monsters approach and no random encounters may be rolled within.

This effect lasts for [dice] days and costs [sum] HP to cast. You may decide to abort the spell after rolling, but you lose access to all of your MD if so until the next good night's sleep.

Mishaps

  1. MD only return to your pool on a 1-2 for 24 hours
  2. Take 1d6 damage
  3. Random mutation for 1d6 rounds, then Save. Permanent if you fail.
  4. For the next 24 hours, bees fly out of your mouth whenever you speak. This terrifies or fascinates NPCs - no in-between.
  5. For 1d6 hours, your bones are also wax. You can squeeze through tight spaces at the cost of 1d6 HP.
  6. You smell powerfully of honey for 1d6 hours. Predators of all sorts are attracted to the smell.

Dooms

  1. Your sense of self is temporarily subsumed by the bees. You lose consciousness for 24 hours and the bees take the helm. They act in service of the Hive and perfect order.
  2. Everything ordered within [Bees] radius becomes disordered as the elemental force of chaos strikes at you, its enemy. Walls collapse, machines overload, food rots, etc.
  3. Bees explode out of every orifice, spattering your waxen organs onto your surroundings. Dimensional Bastion is cast at your current location, but lasts forever.
